Today! - January 26: Barco de Papel - Video release

With the second single, “Barco de Papel”, we wanted the video to be less about a storyline and be more visually atmospheric, and show more live performance as I explored one of my favorite cities in the world, New York, and in the wintertime when the landscape takes on almost an empty, but very clear feeling. The director, Victor Lau, chose to shoot with 16mm film to make the video look raw and homemade, to reflect on the song’s looser and more contemplative narrative.
In certain cases a video will outshine a song with big special effects but I think in our case the song matches the video and even helps it along. This video is definitely a different feel than my first, but I hope you guys enjoy it and I’m looking forward to hearing what you think!
